Permanent, 37 hours per week
The School of Computing and Engineering is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator with experience and particular knowledge of financial and management accounting processes to work as part of the School Finance Office, specifically for CPT. This post will mainly support the office in dealing with research grant and externally funded projects, bids and costings.
You will work particularly closely with not only the Senior Finance Administrator (R&E) but also with the School Research Admin Support Manager on monitoring and managing the finances of key projects.
You should be educated to degree equivalent in a relevant financial management or accounting subject, and be able to show experience of using financial management/accounting in a work-based situation, including experience of external funding, costing and bidding procedures. You would be expected to have substantial office experience and be fully conversant with office practice, organisational management and pro-active forward planning.
You will also be expected to demonstrate good communication skills, be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and deliver on deadlines effectively.
Demonstrable experience of working in an HE Environment and relevant financial systems would also be desirable.
