Permanent, Part time - 28 hours per week
We are looking for an outgoing, well organised and self-motivated individual to join the Customer Services Team in Computing and Library Services at Queensgate.
You will be involved in dealing with support calls via a helpdesk system, supporting staff, students and alumni with IT queries, including provision of 1st line support of computer equipment throughout the Library.
A good general education including GCSEs, or equivalent, at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics is essential, along with a basic computing qualification or equivalent experience.
You will possess a good working knowledge of common computer applications, current PC operating systems and a range of IT hardware, including the ability to provide basic advice and support on these products. You will also be able to work effectively as part of a team, possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with customers in a pressurised IT service environment.
Your working week will be one of 28 hours and your working pattern will be:
Term-Time (33 Weeks)
Monday to Thursday 10-5pm and
Sunday 1-5pm
Non Term-Time (19 weeks)
Monday to Thursday 9-5pm
