The Department of Architecture and 3D Design has a long history of excellence across Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Design and Product Design. Our Architectural Technology course has been the first accredited course in the UK (since 1997) and has been long running. Recently, the course has been redesigned to address current industry needs, incorporating a stronger focus on Architectural detailing, the Built Environment related disciplines and Building Information Modelling.
This position will form part of a dynamic team, which will spearhead this area forward and focus on innovative and contemporary practice and research across Architectural Technology and related disciplines. You will have the opportunity to lead our BSc Architectural Technology.
You should have appropriate teaching experience in Higher Education and a strong awareness of your subject area. Ability to contribute to and lead research in this field, as well as experience in curriculum planning and teaching delivery is essential. You should have relevant industrial experience and a PhD in Architectural Technology or related subject areas.
You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking Architecture and Built Environment team and will be expected to demonstrate excellence in your work, which will be strongly supported through personal development plans. Our Architecture Technology course has enjoyed very high NSS results, above the 90% mark for a number of years.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
