The Division of Social Care and Counselling are seeking to recruit an outstanding and enthusiastic Lecturer in Social Work with specific expertise in supporting practice learning. The Division is committed to developing and delivering excellent and ground breaking social work teaching, learning and research. We are looking for an experienced practitioner or leader who will coordinate our provision of practice placements for pre-qualifying students. This will involve working with students to prepare them for practice and working with our partners within our Teaching Partnership to coordinate the allocation of placements. They will need to be able to deliver teaching which is creative and inspiring to practitioners and pre-qualifying students. As such applications will be limited to those who are already registered as a social worker with the HCPC, and who have post-qualifying experience of social work. You should have a working knowledge of the requirements for practice learning in pre-qualifying social work.
You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and creative teaching. You should also be committed to partnership working with service users, carers and our colleagues within the Teaching Partnership
