Brandon are one of the leading manufacturers of high tech medical lighting, and their equipment can be found in surgeries, clinics and hospitals throughout the world supported by an extensive distributor network.
The RoleWorking with experts from the University of Huddersfield and using the acclaimed KTP scheme (www.ktponline.org.uk) the main purpose of the role is to undertake research into the optimisation of the manufacturing, traceability and sales processes through the use of blockchain technology and data analytics. You will be responsible for leading the software development of this high profile project, with significant support from senior staff at both the Company and University.
The PersonA first class or 2:1 honours in either Computer Science, Computing, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Physics. Knowledge of agile software development methodologies and software project management techniques is essential, as is knowledge of high level languages and statistical techniques for forecasting. You will require strong technical skills, the drive and determination to deliver and embed new knowledge into the company's processes.
Essential requirements:
Experience of developing object orientated software.
Experience of software unit testing.
Experience of developing and implementing bespoke algorithms.
Experience of working within and leading small teams.
Applicants who will require Tier 2 sponsorship under the Points Based Immigration System can only be considered if they meet all the requirements as a new entrant as the rate of pay for this post is appropriate for new entrants only.
