Are you a self-motivated, enthusiastic, customer focussed individual with experience of working in a busy administration and finance environment? Do you enjoy taking ownership of a task and developing processes to support service requirements?
If you have a proven aptitude for providing professional administration and financial support, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate financial matters effectively, then this could be an ideal opportunity for you.
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join the International Office, and play an integral role in administering the financial function of the service. The role will be varied and interesting, and is ideally suited to someone with an administrative background in a financial setting. You will need previous experience of working with financial information, using a financial database, and an applied knowledge of manipulating data using Microsoft Excel.
Excellent customer service skills are, of course, essential as you will be expected to liaise closely with our overseas offices, agencies and partners, along with departments across the University. You will be the first point of contact for all financial queries within the department, and will be required to process a high volume of financial transactions throughout the applicant cycle. The role can often be demanding, and will require you to be able to prioritise effectively and deal with deadlines in a calm and methodical manner.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate*:
- Significant experience of administering financial information
- Experience of manipulating and analysing financial information and communicating this effectively to all levels, both internally and externally
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proactive, and able to use your own initiative
- A high level of accuracy and ability to process high volumes of transactions
- Strongly customer focussed
- Experience of developing financial systems
- A sensitive approach when handling financial matters, particularly when dealing with different cultures
If you fit the above description and are excited about the opportunity, we want to hear from you.
