Permanent, 37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity in the Payroll Team for a Senior Payroll Assistant working 37 hours per week. The Payroll Team are responsible for the accurate and timely processing and payment of salaries to around 2,100 monthly paid University staff, and the processing of around 500 casual workers.
As part of a team, you will process all starter and leaver documentation, contractual changes, create and amend staff records using the integrated HR and payroll system and adhere to the statutory requirements of the PAYE regulations, relevant employment legislation and conditions of employment.
You will already have good general IT skills, including being proficient in the use of Excel, and will seek to use and develop these skills to support the team. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent numerical skills and be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing an exemplary and timely customer service. You will be comfortable working without close supervision and be able to plan, organise and prioritise your work to meet deadlines.
