The School of Computing and Engineering is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to take a leading role in the development of waste heat recovery systems based on thermoacoustic technologies. This work is supported by the recently awarded EPSRC grant, HARP2, involving Universities of Huddersfield and Manchester. We have two Research Fellow vacancies available, with this particular post focussing on developing novel numerical methods for analysis and holistic design of thermoacoustic electricity generators.
You will have a PhD in the subject of development of numerical codes for complex thermofluids problems in the context of fully 3D modelling of thermoacoustic electricity generators. Further post-doctoral training in this field would be desirable.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
