The Department of Health Sciences has an exciting portfolio of education and research, and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join an active and enthusiastic team, teaching within a Department delivering physiotherapy and other health related programmes. We are seeking to employ a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Neurology) to help us achieve our ambitious plans for the future.
We are looking to appoint a physiotherapist who has a broad range of clinical experience plus clinical expertise in neurology. You will be committed to partnership working and an enthusiasm for clinical research is particularly welcome. You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. This appointment will involve practical and theoretical teaching on the current physiotherapy degree course, and you will be expected to support further developments within the Department, both in a single and multi-disciplinary context, including expansions into the international market.
Current registration with the HCPC and a Master's degree in a relevant subject are essential. You must be a member of the Health Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment. You must be prepared to register and study towards a doctorate if you do not already hold one. Applications from candidates whose clinical expertise has allowed them to work in a community and/or primary care setting are particularly welcomed.
Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Dr Sara Eastburn on 01484 472911 or by email s.eastburn@hud.ac.uk
