Full Time, Fixed term appointment for 12 months from 1 September 2017
The Department of Informatics of the School of Computing and Engineering is seeking a Research Fellow to carry out a program of research and development in the area of automated planning within the PARK Research Group https://www.hud.ac.uk/research/researchcentres/park/
You will be expected to carry out research and development of automated planning software within the application area of automated road traffic control. This will require experience in creating AI planning software, as well as an appreciation of the knowledge engineering aspects involved in applying such AI technology. You will be expected to assist in the development of novel planning software, to help in applications of AI planning within UrbanTraffic Control, to assist in the production of high quality publications and external grant applications, and provide some assistance in undergraduate teaching.
You should be educated to PhD level, with a recent track record of publications in AI related to Automated Planning within relevant international conferences and journals and a track record in the development of planning software.
