Permanent, part-time 0.5 FTEThe University of Huddersfield is looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Lecturer in Contemporary Art and/or Illustration to contribute to our highly successful BA (Hons) Contemporary Art and Illustration programme.
You will be a practising artist and/or illustrator, with a national/international profile, who can show a depth of knowledge and understanding of current trends in art and illustration. You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking team, and will support the Course Leader in a range of professional activities.
Candidates from a broad range of expanded practices in art and/or illustration will be considered, with experience at HE level. As an active practitioner in your field you will have a profile that informs your teaching. You will have an excellent track record of developing and supporting the undergraduate student experience.
With a Masters in an appropriate subject area, you should also be able to evidence an excellent and active portfolio of practice. There is a strong research ethos in the Department from a range of histories, theories and practices of art and design, to which you will contribute.
In addition to your application, you will be required to submit a digital portfolio of your visual work with your application.
