History at Huddersfield is a successful subject group in both teaching and research. We provide a modern and innovative curriculum and achieve excellent student satisfaction results.
We are looking for a historian of Extra-European History who can provide inspirational and engaging teaching to undergraduates and postgraduates. Any region or focus will be considered, but preference may be given to applicants with research and teaching interests in American history or South Asian history. We would be particularly interested in candidates who have a public history element to their work and can contribute to international recruitment. You should have a degree and PhD in the relevant areas with an established publication record and experience in undergraduate teaching.
You will contribute to existing courses at undergraduate level and contribute where appropriate to our postgraduate programmes. You will also contribute to team taught modules and have the opportunity to develop your own modules over time. You will be expected to participate in the wider activities of the subject area including personal tutoring, undertaking recruitment activities and external engagement activities playing an active role in the subject area.
