The University of Huddersfield is looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Lecturer in Illustration with strong digital skills.
The successful applicant will be a practising illustrator with a strong creative industry profile, who can demonstrate a depth of knowledge and understanding of current trends in illustration with particular skills in narrative and sequential art, and someone who can help integrate illustration into a new transdisciplinary Art & Design programme.
Candidates from a broad range of creative professional practices in illustration will be considered, with experience at HE level. As active practitioners in your field you will have creative industry profiles that inform your teaching. You will have an excellent track record of teaching and supporting students at undergraduate levels. Experience of curriculum development and module leadership or willingness to take on these responsibilities will be considered an advantage along with a range of skills including digital.
With a minimum of a Masters in an appropriate subject area, you will be encouraged to contribute to the research ethos in the Department. You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking team.
In addition to your application, you will be required to submit a digital portfolio of your visual work with your application.
