Estates and Facilities are seeking to recruit a Building Technician to join its small but very busy Property Services Team.
This exciting and varied post will be responsible for supervising and administering a wide range of service contracts, such as signage and automatic door maintenance.
You will also be responsible for overseeing a range of minor refurbishment and move projects under GBP 100k in value, as well as carrying out regular inspections of student residence sites.
You will report to the Buildings Operational Manager within Property Services.
You will hold a minimum of a HNC in Building Studies with a wide knowledge of all aspects of the building industry and substantial post qualification experience.
An IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or an equivalent Health and Safety Qualification is desirable.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
