The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise has an exciting portfolio of education and research, and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced occupational therapist to join an active and enthusiastic team, teaching within a Department delivering occupational therapy and other health related programmes. We are seeking to employ a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to help us achieve our ambitious plans for the future.
We are looking to appoint an occupational therapist who has a broad range of practice experience able to teach in many areas across the curriculum. You will be committed to partnership working and an enthusiasm for practice research is particularly welcome. You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. This appointment will involve practical and theoretical teaching on the current occupational degree course, and you will be expected to support further developments within the department, both in a profession specific and multi-disciplinary context, including expansions into the international market.
Current registration with the HCPC as an occupational therapist and evidence of Master's level study are essential. You must be a member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment. You must be prepared to register and study towards a doctorate if you do not already hold one.
Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Dr Kiara Lewis or by email kiara.lewis@hud.ac.uk
