Fixed term for 2 years, 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to act as an ‘intrapreneur’, as part of an exciting Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), between Coterie and Huddersfield Business School which will drive and embed strategic change and innovation within the organisation.
You will lead and coordinate an extensive programme of work which encompasses research and stakeholder analysis and drives the development and implementation of a unique membership offer (Coterie Community) and training offer. This will help upskill the sector and utilise continuous insights to drive improvement.
The Company
Coterie is a dedicated channel partner marketing and strategy execution organisation serving the business-to-business global IT and telecommunications industry. Coterie have elevated partner marketing in the sector, using proven research and methodologies to accelerate performance. Their forward aim is to shift towards ecosystem marketing and become a knowledge organisation, working with stakeholders and developing continuous insight to embed innovation in the ecosystem marketing industry.
The Role
Over the course of the 2-year project, you will work with university academics and senior Coterie representatives to lead and coordinate an extensive programme of change, encompassing the development of an online membership platform and a new training and development offer for clients. The key elements of the role encompass research and stakeholder analysis, coordinating and delivering staff engagement and consultation, and developing and delivering marketing strategies for the new Coterie Community and training offer. You will lead the project as part of the nationally acclaimed KTP scheme (https://ktp-uk.org/), and will be upskilled via a personal development package to deliver this project using best practice in project management. KTP schemes are an invaluable way for talented graduates to fast-track their career development in their chosen sector, and establish their position as the industry leaders of tomorrow.
The Person
The successful applicant will have an undergraduate degree in a Business Management/Business and Marketing degree, or related field, and an MBA or Masters degree in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrable professional experience. Industry/commercial experience in a professional, client-focused environment is essential, as is the ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research, and utilise excellent communication skills to demonstrate findings.
