Fixed Term for 2 years, 22.2 hours per week
We are seeking a Race Equality Charter Lead to be responsible for the management and coordination of institutional level activity in relation to Advance HE's Race Equality Charter (REC).
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will manage the delivery and implementation of EDI initiatives required to support our application for an institutional level award.
You will provide professional advice and guidance on the REC to stakeholders across the University at all levels and develop high-level project plans and reports at institutional level. Your advice, support and guidance will be based on a deep and informed understanding of the issues facing staff in under-represented groups. You will have an awareness of and empathy with the issues that relate to under-represented groups, particularly Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) staff and students.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of achieving external Equality Charters at institutional/organisational level and operational knowledge of current equalities legislation and best practice and the ability to deliver organisation-wide projects.
