Radiomics in Personalised Medicine - Beyond What Meets the Eye

Medical images are extensively used in oncology to make diagnoses, plan and carry out treatments. But what if images contain hidden information that is not visible with a naked eye? What if this information can make a difference to how cancer is treated? In this talk, we introduce radiomics, a novel method that extracts a large number of features from medical images, and explore how this information can be applied to predict disease outcome, recurrence, progression and response to therapy in the context of cancer.
