Catering and Hospitality Services are proud to be responsible for managing the services of the University of Huddersfield. On the Huddersfield Queensgate Campus we currently operate ten catering outlets, vending services and an extensive hospitality service.
We are seeking a dynamic Head Chef to lead our kitchen and hospitality teams. You will be responsible for the delivery of exciting, fresh and ‘on trend’ food for students and staff across the University retail outlets, as well as high profile events and hospitality.
City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or Level 2 / 3 Food Preparation and Culinary Arts or equivalent professionally recognised qualification is an essential requirement for this role, as is an Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification at level 3.
The right candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the hospitality industry principles with proven knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management and budgeting techniques and have proven experience of menu development, including bespoke menu design incorporating sustainable and ethical food choices.
