Join our innovative and enthusiastic team to inspire the speech and language therapists of the future. We have many exciting developments underway, and we need therapists with a passion for student education and the profession to join us in delivering them. We are seeking to employ part-time University Practitioners in Speech and Language Therapy to help us achieve our ambitious plans.
The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise has an excellent portfolio of education and research. You will teach within a department delivering speech and language therapy and other health related programmes.
We are looking to appoint a speech and language therapist with a broad range of practice experience able to teach in many areas across the curriculum. You will be committed to partnership working and an enthusiasm for practice research is particularly welcome. You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. This appointment will involve practical and theoretical teaching on the speech and language therapy degree. You will be expected to support further developments within the department, both in a profession specific and multi-disciplinary context.
Registration with the HCPC as a speech and language therapist prior to commencing and evidence of master’s level study are essential. You must be a member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment.
The university practitioner posts are aimed at those who wish to stay partially in practice and therefore can only be employed up to 0.5 FTE. People with expertise in adults and / or eating, drinking, and swallowing are particularly encouraged to apply.
