The Department of Computer Science is seeking to recruit a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Computer Science. You will have an undergraduate degree and a PhD in Computer Science (or a related area) and postdoctoral experience along with a track record of high-quality peer-reviewed, international outputs.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate evidence of successful undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in computing with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
A familiarity with the industrial IT environment is desirable.

The School of Computing and Engineering promotes research development and provides a research-supportive environment. Collectively, the School has secured over £25M in external funding from UKRI and Horizon 2020.
Research in the Department of Computer Science covers an international portfolio and is headed by world leading researchers working within a number of research centres, including the Centre for Planning, Autonomy and Representation of Knowledge (PARK), the Centre for Cyber Security (CCS), the Centre for Industrial Analytics (CIndA) and the Centre for Mathematics and Data Science.
The Department of Computer Science holds a framework agreement with CERN (https://home.cern/about), the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, which facilitates working together on world-leading research projects, including the development of specific Artificial Intelligence technologies for edge processing of scientific data in real time. The department has a number of opportunities for academic staff and PhD students to conduct research in this area.
