Access to health care as a human right: A sociological analysis online talk

Following World Health Day (7^th April), this talk will explore access to health care as a human right. Globally, according to the World Health Organization, half of the world’s population lacks access to health services. This results in millions of people being pushed into extreme poverty because they have to pay to access health services. Drawing upon sociological perspectives we will consider the impact that a lack of access to health care can have on marginalised and global populations.
