We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious experienced graduate Mental Health nurse to join a proactive and motivated team, teaching and researching within a Department which delivers nursing, midwifery and other health related programmes. You would be joining us at an exciting time of team and programme expansion and growing student numbers.
You will be expected to contribute to, and as appropriate, lead on the provision and development of a range of outstanding undergraduate, postgraduate Mental Health nursing and health related programmes, including where appropriate, the supervision of doctoral students. You will also be involved in the delivery and development of simulation-based skills and education delivery. Your role will also provide support to students, practice supervisors and practice assessors within clinical practice areas.
We seek to recruit an applicant who demonstrates commitment to facilitating student centred learning and innovative approaches to Mental Health nursing are essential. You should have knowledge of a broad range of contemporary Mental Health nursing practice, relating to a range of healthcare settings. You will also engage in the enhancement of the student experience through use and development, of innovative and effective teaching and facilitation methods and utilisation of research in programme delivery.
Current registration with the NMC is essential. For lecturer level you must have completed a Masters qualification (or be able to complete within 12 months of appointment) and have the capacity to register for doctoral study within 24 months of appointment. For Senior Lecturer level you must have completed a Masters qualification and have a Doctorate qualification or be working towards one. You must be a member of the Health Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment.
